The sword of the Tarot represents the capacity of the mind to analyze and to break apart the complex. It is the human intellect.
The sword belongs to everyone, which means to say that the ability to think and to use the mind to discover the secrets of the universe, to understand, and to wonder belongs to every person.
That means that education should be an inherited right of every person in the world. Knowledge is the patrimony of humanity, and as such it does not belong to only those who can go to Princeton, Yale, or Brown. It does not belong only to Cambridge and Oxford. The knowledge accumulated by humanity belongs to every human being, and education–the ability to access it and absorb it–belongs to every child.
Everyone should have access to the knowledge of humanity and no one should be left without access to education. Education is a right. It is a human right, period, for every being on this planet.
Holding education only for those who have connections, money, and families with power is a crime against humanity.
The Catholic Church, for centuries, forbade people from reading the Bible. If you were Catholic you couldn’t read the Bible. Why? Because that way only the priests would be reading the Bible and only they would have knowledge, and therefore power. And if the common people wanted the benefits of the Lord, they had to do what the church said. We need to go beyond that, and retake the sword.
Every book and every piece of knowledge that humanity has attained is the inalienable right of the whole of humanity. There should be nothing withheld. The secrets found by humanity belong to everyone. Be suspicious, therefore, of any religion that has secrets, of any occult society that hides its truths, and of any teacher who withholds secrets only for those who pay more.
