Happy Anniversary for the Ox and None Clerk-House of the A.’.A.’.

Nine years ago, on October 22, 2010, I established the Ox and None Clerk-House dedicated to the service of the sempiternal A.’.A.’. and to the evolution of humanity.

A reader asked, “what exactly is a Clerk House?”

Traditionally, a “clerk house” is a store front or public face of a temple, an abbey, or an esoteric school. It is the administrative center of the operations of the school with the outside world. This is the meaning of the term since the middle ages across different spiritual traditions. From this Clerk-House, the spiritual school and abbey would be coordinating and administering both the dealings with the community and the teaching curriculum for the spiritual aspirants training at the school. The external function of this Clerk-House would be to administer both the business dealings with the community that would allow the school to survive and operate, and the actions performed to serve the outside community. So, it would be in this Clerk-House that all the accounting, inventory, paperwork, and student documents would be kept.

Chapter III, verse 41, of Liber Al vel Legis says: “Establish at thy Kaaba a clerk-house: all must be done well and with business way.”

Crowley often thought of the Kaaba in the religious context of Islam. The word “Kaaba” means “cube”, and it is the center stone around which the temple is built. Crowley wanted Thelemites to think of his house by Loch Ness, Boleskine, their religion’s Kaaba. He wanted Boleskine to be to Thelemites as Mecca is to Islam. However, initiates of the A.’.A.’. understand that vertical initiatory work is internal. In this light, the verse above is interpreted in the context of the first main task of the Order: to raise your kundalini and consciousness to the center of your Ruach, your mind, and from there enter into conscious communication with the Star, which is your true Self and whose orbit is your Will.

In this light, we understand the Kaaba to be the cube at the center of your being, or the sacred magical altar around which you will construct the temple of God out of your own self, your life, your consciousness, and your body. This Kaaba is the most intimate and secret center of every person, and there we build a house where we will pray and commune with God, “a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.”

It is, therefore, in the Lover’s grade that we attempt to balance the forces and powers of the Ruach, reconciling all opposites and putting the ego under control, in order to establish a firm connection with our true Self, and from there engage in conscious communication with our Higher Self of Genius. There, under that guidance, we then proceed to next phase of the Great Work which is the manifestation of your pure will in your life.

In this initiatory blue print, to “Establish at thy Kaaba a Clerk-House”, means to set up an administrative center, a store front, at the center of your sacred cube. This sets the Clerk-House for the Adept with a dual function, as every thing in the Ruach is subject to this duality: one inner, and one outer. The administrative function of the Clerk-House in the inner sense has to do with the ordering, balancing, and administration of the different parts of the Ruach. For the Adept, this means the reconciliation of all opposites and the mastery of all aspects of the mind, constantly endeavoring to bring all the elements of the lower and higher self to a state of balance and under the direction of the center, the Sun in Tiphareth, the True Self. This is the first part of the work of an Adept. It is secret and internal. This is “putting your house in order”, as Gurdjieff put it. With the house in order, the Master of the House comes. This is when we attempt to contact the Holy Guardian Angel in a conscious manner, and then establish the methods and conditions for such a communication to continue, acquiring a trusting and reliable source of teachings, guidance, and communion with the most sacred. This is why, in the Lover’s degree, and Adept who has made this contact no longer needs an external teacher, since she has already established a connection to the true Teacher, the real Guru who is a messenger of the sempiternal A.’.A.’. above the Abyss. From then on, your guidance is internal, and from there you derive your teachings, your gnosis, and your magick.

The second part of the task of an Adept is to establish this Clerk-House in the outer, in the world. This is done under the guidance of the Holy Guardian Angel. If the first part of the task was about finding the laws of your Star and entering into conscious contact with it, the second part is about manifesting those laws in your sphere of influence, in your world. This is part of the meaning behind “thy Kindom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” In this phase of the Adept’s work, the task is to manifest the Clerk-House in the world. Each Clerk-House will be different, since each one is a manifestation of the innermost will of the Adept. This part of the task can take many years, or even a life time.

The Ox and None Clerk-House was officially established five years ago, and continues to orbit around the Star which gives its Light, Life, Love, and Liberty from the inner to the outer. As an outer expression of its Kaaba, the Ox and None Clerk-House administers and operates the training of its students, working as an abbey or esoteric school traditionally represented by a beehive. This image illustrates the manner of work and service taught to every student. We research and teach through different traditions from around the world, and many of our students are inheritors and initiates of different traditions, each one contributing to the understanding, the practices, and the technologies employed in our Clerk-House.

To sustain the efforts of the School, we produce works of art, books, street and stage performances, car washes, seminars and workshops.

To service the community, we bring to the community, free of charge, training in arts and craft, the sacred art of The Telling, free weekly lectures and teachings, sweat lodges and vision quests, dream circles, healing, cine forums, and readings for the dying. All of these are given as an offering to everyone. Other ways of service are in the planning stage.

In this time, we have trained hundreds of practitioners on the Aka Dua, and raised four adepts to Level V: Sharla Sanchez of The Dreamers’ Den, Dr. Arlan Cage of the Aka Dua Institute of Energy Healing, Phyllis Douglass of Integrated Mind-Body Therapies, and Pilar Gamboa of Xicoco Shamanic Arts.

One school of Toltec teachings has been established in Mount Shasta, under the leadership of Golden Eagle. One Clerk-Hose has been established in the inner plane, the Silence and Strength Clerk-House (more on this soon).

Finally, the Medicine Wheel is being rebuilt at a permanent site for meditation and prayer, open to everyone.

The training itself is also free, but the student body is at maximum capacity at this time. The training is very engaging, committed, and exacting. At this point, we cannot accept new applicants, but everyone is welcome to participate in our weekly lectures, cine forums, and all the other community events we offer. If you live far from Riverside, our lectures and cine forums are broadcasted live on LiveStream, in the Koyote The Blind channel.

This is a very dynamic community of practitioners and students. It won’t be long until other students will open their own clerk houses and thus open the doors of the teaching to a wider circle, each one attracting very different people because everyone is learning to connect with their own Star and evolve their own life into a unique source of service to humanity.

Much has been accomplished in these first none years of the Clerk House, and in the 11 years of service of the School as the Xicoco Shamanic Arts. Tonight, we drink and celebrate for all my relations, and for the benefit of All Beings Everywhere!

What Is the Etheric Double?

A reader, Rohit Agarwal, asks:

Going through golden flower book , is just simply amazing experience.

I have a question , when koyote ji , says that in etheric double , one can go anywhere on this planet. Does he says in different sense or literally it means one can roam around the entire planet just as going on world tour spending hundreds and thousands of dollars.

Asia , America , europe , all of world is it accessible same way as in organic body and all the experiences one can have at these places in organic body , one gets in etheric double. Or is there some differences in experiences of organic body travels and etheric travels. Is something of organic world experience missed in etheric travels or everything of organic is included plus more.

Please explain. It will help greatly.

Asia, America, Atlanta, the bottom of the ocean, my brother’s prison cell, falling with the rain, bouncing with dessert sand in a gust of wind, the edge of the thermosphere…

Koyote’s intensives (Diaphanous Shell, Bhakti the Future, Meditation, Aka Dua, The Dreaming, etc.) all contain the experience of such feats and tasks as he writes and talks about. While the books contain the recipe and the instructions, his personal training include the practical, tangible experience.

There are differences, some as Mary F Scott points out, and then some! The etheric body may come to be known as having its own intelligence. The process taught by Koyote of building an etheric body out of the substances already being produced by the organic body, mixing them with the genius of magick and the ancient teachings, and then training and learning how to use it well enough to transfer a piece of your consciousness into it, turning it on, and have it produce other substances—the ones required to build an astral body—all has to do with a very organic-like process of growing and evolving—all very much within the limits of nature as defined by the shaman and the alchemical magician.

The communication between the etheric body with the conscious, cognitive mind takes learning the language, training, adjusting. It is much more like Rose says, personal. No one can tell you what heat is communicated as to you, if your mind translates it as “hot” or “danger”. The communication between etheric body and organic body is instant and immediate, on the other hand. The body will seek to nurture it and protect it, and objective communication is possible. For example, heat is communicated by the etheric body to the physical body immediately; and, a party of voyagers, such as is always the case in Koyote’s intensives, encountering heat in the Dreaming or etheric waters will all tend to communicate the encounter—some as heat, some as color, some as a dangerous presence, etc.

The physical body is not usually there in all its glorious presence when voyaging in the etheric plane; it plays its own role, though, definitely, and must be trained to handle the voyage. With excellence, as Koyote teaches, the physical body is tangibly present and aware throughout. The etheric body, regardless, communicates directly what is being encountered. This communication, with practice and experience, may be mastered and fine-tuned. Even before mastery, a group of etheric and astral voyages will come back to report, not only personal experiences of objective and collective data, but also changes to the very space their physical bodies have been in—things like increased heat, a mist in the room, a crispiness in the air, the presence of an angelic breeze, time distortions, sparkles in the atmosphere, etc.…

The bodies each report what they are capable of reporting, and they each report to the same internal agency, each in their own language. The magician, the voyager, the dream yogi manages to master the language of these bodies in order to communicate instructions that lead to the manifestation of Will. In many ways, the etheric experience is, then, as tangible as the physical experience to those who have the dreaming body fully developed.

The Weapons of Humanity (pt. 4: The Coin)

The coin is what has been perverted the most, hacked to make our understanding obfuscated and our power unseen. We have been duped with respect to the coin.

The coin of the tarot is the wealth of the world. It is the hidden gem, the hidden secret that awakens the power of the heart. It is the transformed soul, and its radiance the richness of the world.

We have been lied to, however. We have been told that the true coin is this thing that passes for money. Money, paper money, electronic money–it’s a false thing that is used instead of real wealth. The belief that we have put on it makes us believe that the true wealth is there, and that currency is the real coin. That is not the real coin. It’s a fake program. It’s a program that has been introduced into our consciousness through the artifice of civilization.

The whole civilization has been an expansion pack in the evolutionary program we are playing in this virtual reality world called Earth. And the coin was introduced as a form of exchange and of creation. Basically, it has become the code for the ability to upgrade your experience. We can use the currency to put walls around us and to make our house bigger or prettier; to change the quality of the food you eat; to change this table for another one. That’s the magic that is channeled through the coin–and currency is a visible, exchangeable token of the power of the true coin.

Now, the coin is something that is free to everyone. It is inherent in being human. Ah! But this idea is anathema to everyone in modernity. “That won’t work,” they say. “You have to have a limit; and you have to accumulate it and work for it, fight for it, kill for it, destroy populations for it, and to hoard it.”

But what if the true coin is the transformed heart resplandecent with the light of creation? And what if we all have access to it and not just humans but all my relations–that is to say, All Beings Everywhere? All beings everywhere have the supreme consciousness of the universe shining its golden light from within, and all have the right to exist and the right to use the resources of the planet. In fact, we all have the right to exist and use the resources not just in this planet, but anywhere in the cosmos. To see this and know this comes with knowing the coin within, and to hold this true coin is the future of humanity.

Don’t Let the Driver of your Vehicle Fall Asleep

The main reason your instrument, your carriage, your human biological machine does not get into the waking state is because it is deathly afraid of it. When everything is working properly, the Master expresses his wishes, the driver knows the direction and controls the horses, the horses have the strength to go wherever the Master indicates, and the carriage simply follows. When everything is working in harmony, the Master gets to where he wills to go. If something goes wrong, then he might not get to where he wants to go. If the wheels are not attached correctly, the carriage will go nowhere. If the horses are not well trained, the carriage could go anywhere. If the horses are going crazy, berserk, they will not go anywhere. If the driver is drunk or asleep, it can’t get anywhere either. The nature of our sleep refers a lot to the driver falling asleep. The driver falls asleep and the horses go to where they want to go according to their preferences, their instincts.

Who are the horses, the driver, the cart? The horses represent your desires and your fears; or more properly said, your seductions and your aversions. When the driver is asleep, you are on autopilot and you move in accordance to your instincts. You are driven by the winds of karma. Some of the words I use here, you might be familiar with, but I will be using them in different ways. Here, I’m not using karma to mean “you do something good, you get something good.” That’s the soap-opera version of karma. Think of karma as a wind that moves the leaves of the tree sometimes here, sometimes there. We are like those leaves, and we’re moved by our desires and the circumstances around us.

Rarely do we have a driver that can direct our vehicle wherever we want to go. The driver is our conscious self, the thinking part of us that can plan, strategize, and make thoughtful decisions. A driver that is pulled and repelled by sensual or emotional attractions, is a driver that has given control of the vehicle to the horses. The driver is asleep, or otherwise merely witnessing the car being pulled by the horses of emotional identification. The driver might know where the master wishes to go, but he is incapable of directing the carriage.

The influence of the Master is very subtle. He has no direct influence over the cart. All he can do is talk and send a voice to the driver. But if the driver is drunk and asleep, he won’t listen. If there is a racket going on outside, he might get a distorted notion. All he has is that voice coming from somewhere behind him: “Take me to the park.” But the driver has to interpret, apply the command, and go. You have to listen to the voice while awake. If you are asleep, who knows what you’re listening to.

My Sacred Prayer

One day this bubble of existence will burst into a million pieces, sending fire and light, and spread it all through creation.

Or maybe it will dissolve into the liquid nothingness of the solar waters that flow from that sunset that’s been waiting to come for all eternity.

It will then be so that every experience I ever had, every word I ever said, every pain I ever caused, and every hope I ever gave will turn to be just the vibrant resonance, just the booming ocean, just the happy dance, and dissolve in that ocean of experience and move amongst your shadows as meaningless signs and sights.

May I never live through that!
May the memory of me fade away in time.
May my soul not be important.
May my life not be object of remembrance below or above.
May I not be significant.

May my shadows be forgot and go their way, where the shadows go and the light of Her eyes shine brightly.

In this Center of Life

In the solitude of the night I stay, and know that all the words and all the stories are lumps of life and meaning; and in the center I find myself trapped in an island, surrounded by life, all rushing at me at the same time.

In this center of life, I can’t distinguish anything at all. There is no name. There is no God. There is no hell. There is no movement of time and space; just the glorious silence; just the breath rushing in and going out; just her touch; the soft fingers of life holding, moving around, dancing around me.

In pain and joy, her hands play with the silent center. It moves. Sometimes I play with her by moving, talking. The light pulls my arm. The wind moves. The face looks and smiles when she looks back, and in the center of this magnificent womb, what can there be if not the warm embrace, the kiss of her ecstasy? How can there be anything but the loving kiss of the angel of death?

Pure Will Is the Splendor of the Sun

Intent is an actionable manifestation of Will. Intent is a reflection or refraction of Will. One Will, a series of intents. It takes a lot to accept your own Will. You have spent a lifetime covering it up, trying to not accomplish it, saying, “Not yet, not yet, not yet.”

Will is not synonymous with desire. Desire belongs to the law of accidents. You come to desire in accordance to the programming that was given to you. Will is more connected with destiny than to the desires of the ego. In fact, when under the light of pure Will, the desires of the ego become nullified, like the light of a tiny candle before the glory of the Sun.

We Are the Prehistory of the Human Being

Having a human body and a human nervous system, we share on the collective karma of humanity. All humanity shares one mind, and this mind has done all the things humanity has done. Sometimes, we can remember having inhabited the beings performing all things. We have been killers and have been killed. And that’s such a minute part of what is possible.

We are babes in a cosmic womb. We haven’t been born yet. We are not real yet. We are here in this egg we call planetary existence and one day we will hatch, grow wings, and take the cosmic flight in wings of cosmic radiance. One day, we will become true human beings, sharing on the cosmic awareness of the eternal.

Right now, we are not done with your evolution. Right now, we are not yet complete human beings. This is still the sixth day of biblical creation. The human being is being created in the image of Ometeotl, the supreme entity. We are not real human beings yet. We are the prehistory of the Human Being.

We are the remote past of Hueman, the Nahual in human mold, Old Grandfather, the Avatar of the Absolute.
