Your Desire Has the Seed of Liberation

The essence of sentience is planted deep in your flesh. All sentience come from one source, and behind the awareness of all sentient beings there is a seed of sentience from the supreme being.

The impulse in every being to seek anything is, in truth, the desire to unite the small seed of consciousness with the consciousness of the supreme. Desire in all forms is a manifestation of the desire for union with your source.

All you need is a genuine aspiration for truth and liberation. Then, let the nature of your desire free. It knows where to go. It’ll guide you true because it seeks its true fulfillment.

Unblock that which represses your force. Let its nature determine the object of your desire, not society or religion. In the true, untainted desire lies dormant the highest aspiration for truth and liberation.

This Body You Wear

This being inside whom you are living has accumulated desires, experiences, maps, notions, ideas, and behaviors. You wear this being like a space suit that carries you through organic life. If you identify with it, it would carry you with it. If it chooses to allow you in, then you can direct it. It can surrender those accidental whims and desires, surrender all of that to your influence. Then it benefits from you and you can exercise your Will. You become able to do.

It becomes able to be. You, as an essence already know how to be. You cannot cease to be. Not without help, anyway. You know how to be; you can’t avoid it.

At the death of this being, you continue to be. But you cannot do. In order to do you must have a body.

You are inside this animal who is afraid of you, who is afraid of itself, afraid of being eaten, afraid of being an animal, but that’s what it is.

Don’t domesticate it; make a pact with it. Give your Higher Will to it. Allow it to do for you, with you. Your only chance of working in this realm, in this sphere, is through a body like this one whose life you are living right now.

Ego is a useful tool

To really destroy the ego would be as useful as destroying the body, intelligence, creativity, language, etc. The ego is a construct we create to navigate and experience this world. Why get rid of it—eve if such a thing could be functionally possible? No, the ego is a magnificent tool. We must learn to use it well. The key, unlike many falsely teach, is not to destroy it, and not even to weaken it.

The key is to make it an efficient, well crafted, strong, and equilibrated tool. To do this, you must not let the ego be the boss of you. It is a part of you and your tool. The ego that ignores the master is unbalanced, afraid, and out of control. Train it well, keep it healthy and strong, and it will be a worthy avatar to your earthly experience.

Preserve the Medicine Wheel

The community at Xicoco has built this Medicine Wheel, a sacred circle open to all people for prayer and healing. We are now about to lose the land where it is built. The landlord is selling the property, and in a matter of a month, they will come in and tear this beautiful and sacred wheel apart to sell it. We have the opportunity to purchase this land, but we need your help securing the funds to open escrow.

We need your help to be able to preserve the Medicine Wheel, to continue offering it for the benefit of all beings everywhere, to continue with our sacred sweat lodge, our classes, our art, and our teachings.

The Medicine Wheel is a living artifact that is helping many find their inner guide, heal, transform their lives, and bring insight and peace to our world.

With your support, we will be able to set up a non-profit organization to preserve the medicine wheel, to continue with our sacred practices, and to promote the Teachings of Koyote the Blind.

These funds will allow us to obtain a loan to buy the land where the Medicine Wheel is.  Please help us preserve the land and continue offering the teachings, the sacred arts, and our lives for the benefit of all beings everywhere.

Trimming myself into the world

From the point of view of neurology, as soon as the baby begins to acquire motor skills and focus their eyes, their brain begins to trim. There are neural connections that cut themselves off. In that cutting off, we begin to bring our attention into this world; to be able to perceive things as separate and distinguish shapes, heights, duration, space, color. Without that trimming, everything that the organism can perceive would be perceived and nothing will be distinguished. So, there is a trimming that happens there, and part of that trimming of our neural system is what culture does with language.

Then, over that language, many things are programmed: llike belief systems, like agreements of what is good and what is bad, what is acceptable and what is not. And then over that series of values we build identities: democrat, republican, Argentinian, Mexican. From those we define our personal identity: “This is me,” “That’s not my family,” “I am not like that,” “I am like this.” But we don’t realize the layers of soil that we use to build that sense of self.

The Old One of Years

From moment you were born, you had an intelligence with you. One that was millions of years old. The one that knows how to live and grow and learn. The one that learns how to navigate an ever-changing, shifting environment. The one who knows how to walk around the jungle. The one that knows how to die and decompose and feel life. This intelligence knows how to heal and destroy. That intelligence was already there from the moment that you were a one-celled entity in an ocean filled with Life on whose surface shines the clear light of objective reality.

How body and mind become dull

How is it that the ancient and profound intelligence of the body become dull and inefficient? It is by the restrictions created by the mind conditioned by culture, religion, and education that we obscure the fluid intelligence of this organism that has kept us alive and evolving for millions of years.

The knowledge that we develop about the body is always separate from the intrinsic knowledge the body has.

They are both useful. Science has been teaching us a lot, but the body always possesses an intelligence that is older than the intelligence of the discursive mind. The problem is not that we don’t know. The problem is that we kill the intelligence of the body. We teach the body how to be insensitive. Then, we teach the mind how to be dull.

We make the body insensitive by regulations, restrictions and habits. We teach the mind to be dull with unconscious language, morality and religion.

What most people do out of love for their children, for their education and their moral standards, is what is stunting the sensitivity of the brain. After a while we cannot really think, investigate or observe. We only see what everyone sees. We only think what everyone thinks.

We learn to feel little: only that which has a name and only that which society permits. By that time we’re already slaves to this system.
