The Grain of Sand

But if it’s true that there will be other tomorrows, other dreams, and even other destinies, today today is only the surrender that pulls me; just so, without hopes or memories of other dawns, without nostalgias or hopefullies, but only with the immediate dissolution into the storm of void that the silence of the heart of your night brings to my present as the most complete word that declares a mortal end to the grain of sand that one dawn dressed up with life and came to be me.

The True Nature of Suffering

Suffering is nothing but the shadow cast by the light of the Sun upon the Earth. The Sun within itself, in its unity, does not cast a shadow. The shadow of suffering is only the natural result of the interference.

The Absolute is, when in its true center, not subject to division and therefore not subject to suffering. The suffering of the Absolute is only a result of the division caused by the descent through the Abyss. Duality and division are caused in that descent of the Absolute into each and every one of us (who host or carry that consciousness, that light of the Star which is truly our deepest nature).

To immerse oneself in the little suffering of one’s own shadow, and to declare such little suffering to be the true nature of existence is to close your eyes to the light of your true nature.

If you do that, you simply perpetuate the misery of your own lie, as if your shadow is real (negating even the necessary truth of the light that must shine for a shadow to emerge).

Do Not Waste Time

Here is the third and last commandment left by Ce Acatl Topilttzin Quetzalcoatl to his four high priests:

“Do not waste the time given to you by Ometeotl, the divine dual-trinity, on this world. Labor day and night towards the good without wasting time, for you shall not know if you will live again, if you shall know your true visage there in the world of true existence. Take prudent advantage of your lifetime.”

We Toltecas learn to use death as an advisor. This doesn’t mean we brood over the certainty of death, nor that we adopt metaphysical views about it. We simply use the certainty of the end of all things, including the end of this dream of life, to help us know that this moment is of extreme importance.

The End of Suffering

The source of suffering is in you, and the solution is also in you. Hold on firmly to the knowledge of truth within yourself, and resist the seductive allure of the stories of Maya. Only then can you be a beacon of hope and refuge for others. Their essence will see in your essence the effect truth has on you, and they will naturally seek relief from darkness under the light of your spirit.

Fear Is our First Obstacle

Fear is our first obstacle. It comes from believing that the ego is real, and the supreme consciousness unreal.

Ego is afraid because it does not know truth.

It is okay to be afraid, the important thing is not to mind the fear. Do not act based on fear. Do not listen to the whispers of fear and do not follow its commands. See the fear, as you see everything else.

Fear is in the mind, and behind the fear is ignorance. See the fear. Observe it. It will also unfold and vanish like the shadows of night when the sun rises.

The Formation of a Soul in The Teachings of a Toltec Survivor

What is the message of The Teachings of a Toltec Survivor? The Gnostic Church of L.V.X. offers a clear perspective on this question. The alchemical formation of a soul as a central point of the esoteric teachings, much neglected by most modern currents, begins to be addressed in chapter 4. This point is further elucidated in the next chapter, which we will address on Thursday, August 15, 2019 during our live class discussion.

Here is the analysis from the Gnostic Church of L.V.X.:

The central teaching of this chapter is as much the central teaching of this book. And if I dare be critical, this is covered in subtext throughout the book, but really needs to be brought out; not just in the future writings of the Koyote, but in the ideas of the spiritual community, as a whole. And in the latter, it is almost completely non-existent.

The Theosophists once spoke of it and the GD and Thelemic/Rosicrucian communities have all but completely ignored it. And that idea is simply that immortality is conditional and not an integral part of your being by right of birth.

The most marvelous quote for the central teaching in this book is: “You came in as an essence. I do not call it a soul because one of the great lies that was told is that you already have a soul. Religions run by the Great Magician, do not want you to make any efforts to make a soul. They want you to be a prisoner. If you believe you already have a soul, you will note make the necessary efforts to create one.”

Indeed modern Christianity has stopped recognizing any difference between your spirit and your soul. And Aleister Crowley, who seems to recognize the importance of creating this soul, merely pays a passing homage to it, by saying in his main theoretical book on Magick that one has to create the ‘body of light.’

Even worse, these New Age groups; themselves, descendants of the foul betrayal that came to Blavatsky’s Theosophical movement, constantly preach that you have to give up your ego (soul…ego sitting at the center of the Ruach) in order to get to that essence, where they correctly assert you are already immortal. But it’s not the immortality of the created soul and the evolved individual. For any evolved individual, these pseudo-Theosophical teachings are the teachings of death; fully condoned by the Great Magician––Gnostic Church of L.V.X.

These Teachings Are Not for the Personality

These teachings are not concerned with the development of your personality. They are not designed to make you more popular or likable. They are not designed to make you richer, to give you better relations.

They are not designed to boost your self esteem, to give you a better memory, to be calmer, happier, or more successful. They are designed to benefit the essence so that the essence can be transformed into a soul. It will be transformed into a soul the way a worm goes into a chrysalis and is transformed into a butterfly.

Most people do not concern themselves with growing a soul because every institution has told them that they already got one. Therefore, they do not make any efforts to grow one. Once they do, they nourish the seed dormant in every body, the seed that descended as pure awareness from the vastness of sentience of the dreamer of the universe.

These teachings, then, are not for the personality. They are meant to show the essence how to allow the personality to break apart, decompose, and absorb it as the seed absorbs the fruit that holds it.
